Top Tunes of Twenty-Ten
I love music, maybe as much as I love fashion… which I fully realize is blasphemy for a fashion design student to say. Music may be a big part of my life, but I’m terrible at describing it. Whenever any of my friends ask me about a band that I’m into I usually say something like “um… uh, well, they’re good. LIKE REALLY GOOD. I love them, and I think you would too!! I’ll send you a link later so you can check them out for yourself.” So needless to say this isn’t going to be a very wordy post. I’ve ranked my top ten albums and included my favorite song from each one. It was somewhat easy to narrow it down to 10, but it was nearly impossible to choose what order they should go in. I had a lot of fun putting this together, and I hope you find some new tunes to listen to!
Ten.
Stars – The Five Ghosts and the Seance
I know a lot of people will think I’m crazy for including this album. All I can say is that I have a weakness for indie-pop (there I go already trying to describe music genres).
Favorite Song: We Don’t Want Your Body
Nine.
Mumford & Sons – Sigh No More
This is one of those albums that I listen to on repeat during the countless rainy winter days in San Francisco.
Favorite Song: White Blank Page
Eight.
The Tallest Man on Earth – The Wild Hunt
I love his voice.
Favorite Song: The Wild Hunt
Seven.
Beach House – Teen Dream
This album is perfect for early mornings, chill nights… and lazy days.
Favorite Song: Norway
Six.
I would never even attempt to describe Jonsi’s music. Although, I will say that it is totally enchanting.
Favorite Song: Boy Lilikoi
Five.
Sufjan Stevens – Age of Adz
Sufjan can do no wrong in my eyes… or I guess technically my ears.
Favorite Song: I Want to be Well.
Four.

Two Door Cinema Club – Tourist History
I saw these guys at ACL this year (see pics here) and fell in love with their energy and charm.
Favorite Song: Something Good Can Work.
Three.
Local Natives – Gorilla Manor
I’ve blogged about Local Natives quite a few times in the short life of my blog (here, here, and here), so I’m sure it’s no surprise that they made my list! My favorite song choice probably won’t be much of a surprise either because it always seems to be the crowd pleaser at their shows.
Favorite Song: Sun Hands
Two.

Delta Spirit – History from Below
This album was literally all I listened to for at least a month after it was released.
Favorite Song: White Table
One.
Yeasayer – Odd Blood
Favorite Band. Favorite Album. The End.
Favorite Song: Madder Red
