Now I Know Where It Comes From.

Get ready for what might be the most exciting blog post of my life. I was talking to my mom on the phone about a week ago, and she told me that while visiting my grandma (her mother) she had taken a picture of her because my grandma had a shirt that was similar to one of mine. My grandma knew this because I was wearing it in one of the pictures included in last years family Christmas card. My mother is technologically inept, so first of all it took her a few days to send the file in an e-mail (I’m sure because she wasn’t sure how to transfer it from her iPhone to the computer) and then when I opened the file it wasn’t a picture, but rather a, awkward video clip of my grandma waiting for a picture to be taken. So first of all I was able to giggle at my mother, and then squeal from joy because… well you’ll soon see.

Before that though, here are some pictures from my birthday party last year, where I wore the aforementioned top.

Get ready…

BEST PICTURE EVER.

Honestly, I’ve never considered my grandma as “stylish”. Usually when we’re visiting she’s in house clothes/slippers/a muumuu. She dresses comfortably, not fashionably… but obviously I need to do some closet raiding next time I’m back home in Texas because clearly she has some hidden gems!

Whimsy and Polka-Dots.

I’m wearing brown! Yes, yes… I’ll admit that there’s more black in the outfit, but it still counts towards my new years resolution!! I first blogged about this skirt a while back (here). It’s one of my favorite pieces to wear, and I feel like it always adds a bit of femininity and whimsy to my outfits.

Once again my wonderful friend Heather took these pictures for me (love you!!)

In the Beginning.

So this is my real first go at an outfit post! Yay!! Take note, if you didn’t already know: It’s really difficult to take pictures of yourself without a tripod and a remote. I have both of those things back in SF, so hopefully these posts will immediately improve once I have access to my equipment. Please bear with me for now, I’m just doing my best to stick to my resolution! I know it’s not much to look at, but as the saying goes you gotta start from somewhere. Right?

The cold San Francisco weather is definitely affecting my eBay watchlist already. The majority of what I chose this week are coats, jackets, and sweaters. I’ve never been one who enjoys the winter and layering up so much that you look like a shapeless marshmallow. I have always preferred summer and pretty lightweight dresses and skirts. Oh well, that was my past life in Austin and I must look forward and build up my wardrobe accordingly. Although I’ve never been one for practicality when it comes to my fashion choices, I absolutely hate being cold… so practical (and fashionable) I must become (to some degree at least).

Here’s my watchlist for the week!

Funkin Junkie.

Camel Biker Jacket. Distressed Denim & Leather Jacket. Camel Suede Fringe Jacket.

Yellow Oversized Collar Coat. Black Cropped Tuxedo Jacket. Camel Belted Coat.

Layered Crochet Top. Nude Polka Dot Sweater. Black Harem Romper.

Long time no blog!! My life has been absolutely crazy for the past 2 months. I moved out of my house in Austin and in with my parents for a few weeks before I drove a big yellow Penske truck with my dad to San Francisco. I’ve been living in San Francisco for little more than a month now and I am absolutely loving it! The city is amazing and my classes at the Academy of Art University are way beyond all of my expectations!!

I’m not going to be able to post as much and as often as I did last year, but I am going to try to update my blog as often as I can! This is just a real quick’n so I can get back to doing my homework. I’ve missed you all!!

Overall, this week is a little lackluster for my eBay watch list. It’s usually averages at around 6 pages long and this week it’s a sad 2 pages in length. Fortunately though, where it lacks in numbers, it makes up for with some amazing pieces! Here’s what I’m watching this week.

Color Blocked Romper. B&W Sheet Shirt Dress. Origami Leather Tuxedo Jacket

I am totally obsessed with the leather jacket, my mouth salivates looking at it!

I want all 3 of these rompers. They are so amazing and versatile!!

Floral Overall Romper. White Harem RomperPurple Tank Romper.

It’s been far too long since I’ve posted my eBay watch list, which has been my only regular posting. It was completely interrupted when I went to Canada, and then my schedule was off and I couldn’t get in back in sync with writing up a new post and the endings of the auctions. Finally though I’ve found a good time, and I think I like Monday postings for this better than Thursdays, which is what I was doing. I also consolidated the images so the post wasn’t a mile long like they have been in the past. I’m gonna try it for a while and feel it out. Anyway, I’ll get to the important stuff… here’s what I’m watching on eBay this week!

Funkin Junkie.

Americana Top. Neutral Circle Dress. Polka Dot Tank Romper.

Sheer Pink Blouse. B&W Polka Dot Romper. Floral Mini Dress.
